Seems someone was listening! Less than a month after our Business Summit at the College of San Mateo on March 19, news broke that well-known Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper has bought The Ben Franklin Hotel!
Mr. Draper's been mum about his ultimate plans and intentions, but he did tell The San Jose Mercury News that he's calling his newest investment/project/building 'The Heart of San Mateo.' And, he said he is looking 'forward to making it shine again.'
